Tips For Attending the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT

Food and Wine

One of my all time favorite events at Disney is the Food and Wine Festival held at EPCOT. This event literally allows you to eat and drink your way around the world. However to survive you got to have a good game plan. Here are a few of my tips for making the most of your day.

Tips For Food and Wine Festival

Make A Budget

I know that sounds nuts but trust me when I say that when the sights and smells hit you it can get crazy. So make a budget as to what you are willing to spend. Then purchase a gift card. This way you will know when that gift card is empty you’re done for the day. No over spending and you know what you spent for the day.

Make a Plan

Pick up a Marketplace Passport. This way you can have an idea of what is being served and you can decided before getting in line what you want to order. Not only does this make things faster it also allows you to decide what you really want to try the most. You may decide having Warm Chocolate Pudding is more enticing than a sample of Nachos(I had both). This is also a great way of knowing in advance what is being served throughout the park so you can sort of pick and chose what to eat.

Go Early

I have learned if you enter early as things are opening you beat the crowds and the heat. No one wants to be eating in 90 degree weather it’s just hot, sticky and uncomfortable. So go early enjoy morning temps, eat and then find a shady spot to enjoy a cool drink in late afternoon.

Book a Room

Ok big tip here if you plan to drink alcohol at the festival book a room. Not only is this a convenient way to enjoy all the evening events but it is also safer for you and your family. Plus after all the eating you’re going to be doing it’s nice to be able to go back and take a nap.

Final Tip

Finally my biggest tip I can give you is to have fun and be adventurous. Don’t be afraid to try something new just because you can’t pronounce it. not being able to say it doesn’t mean it’s not delicious. So go have fun, eat, be merry and most of all make memories that last forever.
